Jammu, March 27(Scoop News) — The revenue generation of in health institutions of Jammu division, working under the control of Health Services, has increased 32.34 percent. A revenue to the tune of Rs.1.84 crore has been realised by issuing registration tickets to the patients by various hospitals during current financial year till January 2009.
This information was given by the Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma, in reply to a question by Ait Malhotra, today in Legislative Council.
The Minister while giving details of the physical achievements registered by the hospitals of Jammu division, informed the House that 49. 78 lakh outdoor patients and 1.85 lakh indoor cases have been treated in various hospital of Jammu division during 2009. He said 49359 surgeries, 632353 lab tests, 65280 ultra sound tests, 123979 X-Rays, 24879 ECGs have also been conducted in these hospitals during the said period.
Sham Lal said that 909390 children have been immunized and 8792 patients referred to Tertiary Care Centres, adding that Rs. 4.45 crore have been utilized under Janani Suraksha Yojana in Jammu division during 2009.
Replying to another question by Ravinder Sharma, the Health Minister said that a Detailed Project Report of Rs.98.15 lakh has been submitted to the Centre for construction of Accidental Hospital at Sunderbani, along with construction of 16 other Trauma Centres on National Highway for approval.
The Minister also gave detailed information about the physical achievement registered by District Hospital, Rajouri and Sub District Hospitals, Nowshera, Kalakote and Sunderbani during 2009.
