Jammu,November 06 (Scoop News) – J&K BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas today while gearing up the party activists in view of its November 08 Jammu bandh call said to make scheduled bandh successful is necessary to tell the state Chief Minister that his anti-India utterances will not be tolerated. He said the CM, who is under oath of constitution, questions the accession of the state and advocates involvement of Hizbul Mujahideen chief in talks. Such utterances of anti-national and against the spirit of constitution.
In this connection, meeting of ex-corporator & party leaders were held under the leadership of Shamsher Singh Manhas,President. Ashok Khajuria,Former President chaired meeting of Jammu East Constituency activists and Munish Sharma, BJYM State President chaired meeting of BJYM activists.
Addressing the meetings Shamsher Singh Manhas said, a complete and peaceful bandh will be a clear message to the CM that he is not above constitution. If the CM has to remain in chair. He ought to respect the constitution and abandon the Kashmir-centric policies of his government. He, once again, appealed all sections of the society to come forward for the cause of nation as well as Jammu and help make November 08 bandh successful.
Manhas said that it has become necessary to display unity and strength on the day when the winter capital offices open on November 08 as the Jammu and its people have been taken for granted. The successive Kashmir-centric governments in the state have discriminated with Jammu in all matters and at all levels. The extent of discrimination can be well judged from the fact that traders, transporters, tourist operators, shopkeepers and industry suffered huge losses during 63 day land row agitation of 2008 but till date none of them has been compensated while the state as well as the Union government has one package after other for valley.
Ashok Khajuria, while addressing the meeting, said that the people of Jammu have suffered a lot after the seat of power shifted from Jammu to Kashmir. Enough is enough the need of the time is to wake-up the brave dogras to stand united for achieving what they deserve and of what they have been deprived for decades. He asked the party cadres to reach the masses and explain them about the cause for which the BJP has given a Jammu bandh call.
Suresh Jamwal, Sat Sharma (C.A), Kavinder Gupta, Yudhvir Sethi, Mamta Singh, Harinder Gupta, Dr. Nirmal Kamal, Rajesh Gupta, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Vinay Gupta, Aseem Gupta, Baldev Singh, Jaideep Sharma, Ramesh Sharma and Munish Khajuria were prominent among those who also addressed these meeting at different places.
