Jammuties proud of Sarvjeet Soodan’s brilliant success in CSE

Jammu, May 17 (Scoop News) – Dr Sarvjeet Soodan born and bought up in R S Pora,has brought laurels to his family and Jammu by securing 97th rank in order of merit in the recently announced results for the Civil Services 2010.

 

Dr Sarvjeet is a veterinary graduate from SKUAST-Jammu. Among the eight selections from J&K, he is the only one to figure among the first hundred selected aspirants.

 

Dr Sarvjeet got his early schooling from MHS DAV School R S Pura, Oriental Academy and Ranbir Higher Secondary School Jammu.

 

He is 2006 batch graduate of Veterinary Sciences from SKUAST Jammu. Dr Sarvjeet gives all credit of his success to his parents Vishwanath Dil & Mrs Shashi.Besides his parents, Sarvjeet is greatly indebted to his teachers especially those from Oriental Academy who he said made him to think that he can do some thing great in life.

 

As Sarvjeet had a rich educational background of his family.So he decided to aspire for some thing bigger to touch heights. He bagged 13th position in Matric.

Sarvjeet in a massage asked younger generations to channelize their energies properly and one needs to be hardwork.

 

From the Jammu region, Vimrash Aryan (Rank 434) and  Muhammad Aijaz (Rank 585) also made it to the coveted list of selected candidates.

 

Vimrash Aryan a 24 year youth from remotest village of Paryote in Kishtwar, qualifies in Civil Services Examination ranked 434 in the merit list. He is the Son of Ram Lal Bhagat and Mrs Kanta Rani Bhagat.

 

He is a B Tech Graduate from NIT Srinagar, had his earlier schooling at Kishtwar and later his parents shifted him to Sainik School Nagrota where from he qualified his Matric. He joined the K V Bantalab where from he qualified his 11th and 12th.

 

Another qualifier is Muhammad Aijaz, placed at rank 585 in the prestigious IAS exam of 2010, hailing from Dharna, Mendhar in district Poonch is an IIT Delhi pass-out.

Aijaz was also selected in KAS 2010. He has remained a meritorious student throughout the career and got many awards at state and national level.

 

A total number of 5,47,698 candidates applied for this examination, 2,69,036 candidates appeared for the Preliminary examination, which was conducted on May 23, 2010. 12,491 candidates qualified for the Main written examination held in October-November, 2010. 2589 candidates were short listed for the Personality Test conducted in March-April, 2011.

Finally, 920 candidates (717 male and 203 female) have been recommended for appointment to the IAS, IFS, IPS and other Central Services.

 

It may be mentioned here that Shahid Chaudhary from Rajouri and Raghav Langhar from Jammu had qualified the Civil Services examination in 2008,

Saajid Farid Shapoo from Bhaderwah has also qualified for IPS and is presently posted in Bihar.

Puneet Kundal from Jammu is another Jammuties to have qualified for Indian Foreign Services and is presently posted in Kathmandu.

 

Those having qualified for IAS/IPS from Jammu region in the past include, Sushma Chaudhary, B R Kundal,SS Bloeria, Anil Goswami, R K Jerath, Ashok Angurana, Pramod Jain, Pawan Kotwal; B R Sharma and K Mohanty.
