Jammu, March 29, (Scoop News)-The nomination of K B Jandial (IAS retd) as a patron of the community has been widely hailed by the cross section of people across the state.
Mr Jandial, a sitting member of Jammu and Kashmir Public Service commission (JKPSC), was nominated along with seven others in the body.
Contrary to Milton’s axim that,”they also serve who stand and wait”, Mr Jandial has always been in the forefront fighting for other’s genuine cause.
As sages and scriptures say purity of soul and honesty of duty(Karma) are mirrored in a person’s smile. Going by that yardstick, he radiates one of the best smiles in the chair he had held during a long span of his career, adding loads of elegance to his unruffled person.
Justice (retd) K K Gupta, former Judge of the state High Court was nominated as patron in chief of the body, Mr O P Gupta, retired CE as deputy chief patron and I C Jandial, former developmen commissioner, SMSB, as chairman.
In a closely contested election held on last Sunday Rajeev Jandial, Manager Jammu Cooperative Bank was elected as new president. Rakesh Jandyal has been nominated as General Secretary.
Besides the president and general secretary, office bearers include Romesh Jandyal (Sr. vice president), Ashwani Jandyal (vice president), Ashok Gupta (vice president), Tarsem Gupta, Advocate (Vice President), Devinder Gupta (Secretary),Ravi Kumar Jandyal of Bishnah (Jt. Secretary), Ravi Kumar Gupta (Mahajan) (Jt. Secretary), Sanjay Gupta (Cashier) and Tarsem Jandyal (Storekeeper).
