I’ve fought fears of losing us…
life…tortuous and miserable day to day
insecurities stole moments of happiness
ate my soul and destroyed contentment.
Phobia’s destruct the strongest foundations…
it plays games with a mind and robs a heart
abandons a shell without an existence
an uneasy mind suffers depression and suspicions.
Why not release useless qualms…
allow them to vanish in a storm headed to sea
travel miles from its point of origin
surrender in the sands of the deep?
Fears, fears, a maggot clinching onto the soul…
pickpockets a heart and bequeaths coldness
permits vulnerability and festers to squeeze
its victim and suck the wind out of its being.
No cares about a strong and vibrant love…
aimed at ending two well-adjusted lives.
Fears, fears, a maggot clinches the soul
Phobia’s destruct the strongest foundations…
Donates a shell despondent but deserving…
to release the maggots holding it captive.
