A Poem by Dave Mathews:
JESUS DEAR JESUS
Jesus dear Jesus, my Lord and my Saviour,
How can I thank thee, for forgiving my terrible behaviour?
No matter my sins, be they big, or small,
No matter your pain, you accept them all.
You show this love to save me from damnation,
And all you ask, is to tell every nation.
Jesus dear Jesus, my Lord and my Saviour,
To repay such love, night and day will I labour.
Jesus my friend, Jesus my Brother,
I pledge to love and worship you, I pledge I will serve none other.
You provide me your teachings, and your infinite grace,
With your promise, that one day, we’ll meet face to face.
Jesus dear Jesus, my Saviour, my Brother,
I vow, I will love and serve you, as I love no other.
Jesus dear Jesus, nothing more can I say,
Than to promise to do, God’s will every day.
