Jesus: For Whom you Are? – NONE OF Jews,Christians Or Muslims

Jesus Christ the Messiah is the most important figure in the history of the Jew, Christian and Islam. He is not only honored the founder of Christianity and the Son of God by Christians, but also considered as own people between the people of the Jew and Islam. But none of them really respect him as he has the right to get. His birth identity, influence, prophethood and prophecy have been causing controversial interrelation and creating contradictory concepts about him among them for 2000 years.

Although Jesus was born from a Jewish family and sacrificed his life for the Jewish community, as of today they don’t recognize him as their prophet and the man sent by God. On the contrary, Christians honored him attributing divinity and replacing at the Son of God. Beside of it, they present him as a cursed Savior who had to die on a Cross. But Islam has taken the midway that he was the Jew prophet only for the Jewish community and his prophethood had been stayed after Islam came.

Jesus who was begotten from a Jew mother is known as the Son of David the prominent Jew king. He was brought up with the Jewish teaching and tradition and became an expert on the Old Testament After his birth, he was taken to the temple in Jerusalem and presented to the law of Mosses. He used to go to Jerusalem for performing Passover. The Jew prophet John the Baptist baptized him as Jews did and testified him the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament.

When his parent presented him to the temple, a God loving man named Simon prophesied that, he would bring honor to Israel and the lady prophet Anna forecasted that he would free the Jewish heart city Jerusalem. (Luke 2:32/38)

The Jews of the New Testament times were not able to submit any real and perfect allegation that could reject him from the Jewish community. But their allegation that he claimed himself the King of Jews testified that he was surely a Jew until his death. After all, as a judge the Roman governor Pilate did not find any guilt against him (Luke 23:4). Therefore, nobody has the right to expel him from the Jewish community.

Besides, Jesus was well-known scholar on the Old Testament and tried to reform and modify the religious tradition of Jews. He clearly declared that, he came to give the fulfill meaning of the Old Testament. (Mathew 5:17)

Despite of having these strong documents in favor of Jesus, as of today the Jews from New Testament times are not agreed to recognize him a prophet or a person sent by God.

The preaching and teaching of Jesus founded Christianity but his prophethood and personality have become much talked controversial issue among Christians. Have given highly respect to him, they converted him to the Son of God referring the word God’s Son mentioned in the New Testament. But the whole Bible and Hebrew language do not use it in word, but symbolically. For example: in the Old Testament Israelis (Exodus 4:22), Abraham (Jeremiah 31:9), Solomon (Samuel 7:13-14) and David (Psalm 89:26-27) are called God’s Son. Jesus says those people who put their faith on him and who make peace will be God’s children (John 1:12-13 / Mathew 5:9).

Cause of birth without a father and mother, Adam (Luke 3:38) and Melchchisedee, the king of Salem and priest of God (Hebrews 7:3) are attributed the Son of God.

That’s why; we can understand that, the God’s son means God’s dear one.

Despite of being born without a father, saint Mathew and Luke present Jesus` two geological tables that indicate that, Joseph was his own father and the tables are different and contradicted form each other (Mathew 1:1-17/Luke 3:23-38).

On the contrary, referring the letters of Saint Paul, the Christian world make a concept that Jesus was cursed cause of dieing on a cross. Because, it is generally believed that he was killed on a cross and the Old Testament says that, who is nailed to a tree, is under a cures (Deuteronomy 21:23). Beside, Christians focus a belief that he had to die for rescuing his followers from obeying the law of Mosses (Galatians 3:13-14) and the first sin originated by the fault of Adam and Eve.

If it is true that, he had to die for other’s sin, so he is counted a greater sinner. Because the Old Testament says that, a father will not be killed for his son and a son will not be killed for his father (Deuteronomy 24:16/Genesis 17:21). It also says, everyone will die for his own sin (Jeremiah 312:30). Again, if it is true that, he had to die to free his disciples form obeying the law, so he came to underestimate the Old Testament.

While, Jesus mission was only to the Jews, most of Christians are converted from gentile family. He clearly declared that, he was sent only to the people of Israel (Mathew 15:24). He also prohibited preaching his gospel to gentiles and Samaritans, and labeled non-Jews dogs (Mathew 10:5-6/15:2-6).

The Mark 16:15, where Jesus orders his followers to go and preach the good news to everyone in the world is not authentic. The ancient version of Mark’s gospel written in the fourth century known as the Codex of Vatican and the Codex of Sinaiticus did not mention the verses 9-20 of the Chapter 16. The New American Standard Bible say about these verses “some of the oldest mass. Omit from verse 9 through 20.” The Mathew 28:19 where Jesus commands to go to the people of all nations have to understand the people of all tribes of Israel. For example: The New world Translation of the Holy Scriptures and the New American Standard Bible mentioned here “all the nations” instead of “all nations”.
Besides, he selected his twelve apostles for judging the twelve tribes of Israel (Mathew 19:28). So, who will judge gentiles? Or how do they claim as his followers?
It is notable that, Saint Paul firstly preached his gospel to gentiles. But he was not one of the apostles selected by Jesus and the temple in Jerusalem opposed his preaching. Here we must obey the command of Jesus “Disciples are not better than their teacher and slaves are not better than their master (Mathew 10:24)”.

While Jews balm Jesus saying the illegitimate son of Mary and Christians attribute divinity and present as a cursed. Muslims strongly believes his birth is the miracle of God and he was begotten from a virgin mother. That’s why; the Holy Quran logically mentions his ancestor’s identity from maternal line, avoiding paternal line as the New Testament claims. According to the Quran and Islamic tradition, he was come from the family of Imran, the maternal grandfather who originated from Abraham through his younger son Isaac. Islam’s prophet Muhammad came from Abraham through his elder son Ishmael. Because of this reason, Muslims rationally respect Jesus as their cousin.
For honoring Jesus, the Quran’s chapter 3 is named by the name of his maternal grandfather and chapter 19 by his mother’s name. When it says his name it calls him the son of Mariam (Mary).Islam recognize him the true prophet who came only for the people of Israel to reform their tradition and teaching. The Quran proudly announces that, God had protected him form dieing on a cross lifting up to heaven, and he was given the holy book named “Injel”, as Mosses was given.

Despite of such respect, Islam claims that, his prophethood had been backdated after Muhammad came (about 610 A.D.). Because, his holy book and original teaching sent by God are not found anywhere. Therefore, Muslims don’t find out any reason to follow him, expect honoring. All Muslims either living in Asia or in America are religiously obliged to respect him like other prophets such as Abraham, David, Solomon and Mosses.
