Srinagar, August 29(Scoop News)-The staff of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages has condoled the demise of veteran Dogri writer and journalist, D. C. Prashant, who passed away at Jammu on Wednesday.
A condolence meeting was held at the Academy’s Central Office here in which rich tributes were paid to the late writer and founder member of the Dogri Sanstha, Jammu. It expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
In a separate message, Secretary Academy, Khalid Bashir Ahmad, described Prashant as a frontline Dogri writer, who will be always remembered for his contribution to the promotion of Dogri language and literature besides, being a prominent journalist. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
At the Academy’s Divisional Office, Jammu a condolence meeting was also held where, participating writers and artists paid rich tributes to late D.C. Prashat and highlighted his contribution to literature and journalism.
Mir condoles demise of Prashant
Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir has condoled the sad demise of veteran Journalist and former Rajya Sabha Member, D. C. Prashant.
In his condolence message, Mir conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
