J&K Assembly Speaker directs Govt to come with a statement on infant’s death

 

 

Jammu February 23(Scoop News) -Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, . Mohammad Akbar Lone today directed the Government to make a statement regarding the incident in which an infant, 11 day old baby, died in the wake of stone pelting by an unruly mob when the mother was travelling in a passenger carrier from Dangiwacha to Baramulla, the other day. He also asked for enquiring into the circumstances leading to this incident and a complete report about identity of the infant.

Intervening, Minister of State for R&B, Health and Medical Education, . Javaid Ahmad Dar also expressed his concern and strongly condemned the incident.

The issue was raised in the House by MLA, Gurez, . Nazir Ahmad Gurezi which was supported by Mir Saifullah.

The two members criticized those who openly support the stone pelters and cry hoarse for tackling such situations. . Gurezi referred to the noisy scenes in the House on alleged violations facing such situations and said that they did not speak to word on the unfortunate incident of killing of an innocent infant.
