J&K Bank lifts Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup

 Jammu, March 7 (Scoop News) – Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today gave away prizes at the finale of 2nd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament here at ScienceCollege.

          The Gold Cup was received by the J&K Bank Football Team which defeated J&K Forests Football Team by one goal in the final of the tournament concluded this afternoon.

          The tournament was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Youth National Conference under the aegis of J&K Football Association.

          As many as 22 football teams participated in the tournament. The team had been divided in the two pools. The championship was played on knock-out basis and started from 18^th January 2011. The Pool matches were held at Parade Ground and the final was played between J&K Bank and J&K Forests at Science College today.
