Chib was the chief guest on the occasion while as Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla presided over the function. The chief guest blessed the scouts/guides and appreciated the steps being taken to popularaise the activities and programmes for the noble movement. The guests were received by the scouts/guides in their own style. Besides this, Flag ceremony, all faith prayers was conducted in a usual impressive way.
Dri. Sri Ram Memorial Award for the best scouts masters and best guide captains of the state were presented to the recipients of year2010 . those hnoured with the prestigious award are Ms Shobha Rani, Guide Captain, ALT(G) of Government Boys HSS, Ms Fancy Lily Jee, Guide Captain of District Ganderbal Kashmir, M. State Commissioner (S), I. D. Soni welcomed the Chief guests and other participants.
State Chief Commissioner, N. A. Khan highlighted the importance of the Flag Day. He said elaborated on the objective of this noble movement in the state in bringing in the emotional and national integration through value oriented education and the steps being taken to popularize the activities and programme of the movement.
