Led by Mahila Morcha State President Sakina Bano, the Morcha leaders and activists were carrying placards with slogans of “Congress hatao, desh bachao” and “Jab jab Congress aayi hai, brashtachaar laayi hai”.
Hundreds of people, including women, students and businessmen turned out to pen down their signatures, thus supporting the cause of BJP Mahila Morcha.
Sakina Bano, while speaking about this nation-wide campaign, said that the morcha has decided to reach the masses across the country with a motive to expose the Congress-led UPA at the centre for its knee-deep involvement in a number of scams amounting to thousands of crores of rupees, thus causing loss to the public excequer. She said that whenever the Congress comes to power, either on its own or in coalition, the country is gifted with corruption involving Office of Prime Minister, Union Ministers, senior bureacrats and kins of Congress leaders. The people of the country have been repeatedly misled by the Congress on false promises during elections of bringing revolution in 100 days but after assuming power, what happens is totally opposite. Once Congres succedes in forming government, it devotes its energy and time in promoting and shielding all such elements who are involved in scams.
Sakina Bano said that the time has come when the people should display unity and join hands with BJP to register a massive protest against the Congress and seek the resignation of Prime Minister besides cancellation of all the 142 coal mine licenses and initiation of an independent inquiry.
Morcha Vice-Presidents Kamla Gupta, Raj Rani Jamwal, General Secretary Priya Sethi, Anuradha Charak, Sureshta Jamwal, Sangeeta Gupta, Parveen Arora, Sunita Arora, Anju Dogra, Saroj Gupta, Vidya Devi, Shashi Gupta, Shanti Devi and Vijay Gupta took part in this signature campaign.
