Jammu, December 6 (Scoop News) –On the 54th Death Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, a homage programme was held at BJP headquarters by Anusuchit Jaati Morcha under its State President Chaman Lal Kanathia.
The portrait of Dr. Ambedkar was garlaned and rich tributes were paid to the great dalit leader.
Recalling his sterling and historically land mark contribution in laying down democratic, secular and socialist constitutional framework of the country, the participants expressed their gratitude and respect for Dr. Ambadkar.

Born on April 14, 1891, Dr. Ambedkar in his visionary outlook and broadness of mind presided over the process of framing the constitution of India and which has withstood the changes of time and ever changing requirements of the society and the country. Dr. Ambedkar will go down in the anals of Indian history as one of the greatest founders of the modern Indian state. Notwithstanding his having suffered social trauma and deprivation in his young age on account of belonging to a class of the society who were in those days treated as untouchables, he rose to the occasion and over came his social deprivation and successfully made his seminal contribution in framing the constitution and thus making India a dynamic secular democratic country. Bhimrao Ambedkar was also the first Law Minister of India. For his yeoman service to the nation, B.R. Ambedkar was bestowed with Bharat Ratna in 1990.
The participants, on the occasion, pledged to take forward the principles and ideology of Dr. Ambedkar and work whole-heartedly for adopting the same in their lives to become respectable citizens.
This great Indian left for his heavenly abode on December 6, 1956.
Bansi Lal Bharti, Balbir Ram, N.D. Rajwal, Ashok Gandhi, Som Nath Dogra, Raju Lochan, Jeet Angral, Faqir Chand Azad, Parshotam Thappa, Kesar Singh, Master Tilak Raj, Chaman Bhagat, Charanjit, Raj Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Krishan Lal also paid their tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
