J&K BJP to ghearao the CM & Congress Ministers on Darbar Move opening

Jammu, November 2 (Scoop News):-The Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP leaders said that on November 8, we will welcome the State Chief Minister with protests besides observing complete and peaceful Jammu bandh. ”There will be a complete shut down on November 8 and chakka jam,” leaders said and added that the call has been supported by all social, political and religious organisations besides transporters of Jammu province.

It was announced by Party State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing a press conference alongwith State General Secretaries Satish Sharma and Sat Sharma in Jammu on Tuesday. While given call for Jammu bandh on November 8, the day when Darbar Move is scheduled to open in winter capital, Manhas said that this bandh is in protest against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s October 6 recent statement on accession of Jammu and Kashmir with India as also step-motherly treatment to the Jammu transporters, traders, businessmen and shopkeepers, who suffered huge losses during the 2008 land row agitation.

   ”It is shocking that being a responsible head of the state, the Chief Minister speaks the launguage of separatists,” the BJP president alleged adding that he should either seek apology or resign from the chair.

   The BJP leader said that people of Jammu should not only protest  Omar’s remarks but also ghearao the Congress Ministers’, who were present but did not react to his statement in the Legislative Assembly.

  Manhas said that the governments at the centre and in the state continue to discriminate with Jammu and its people. He said during the 2008 historical agitation in Jammu, shops remained closed, public transport was off the roads, industries and other business establishments could not work for complete 63 days and as a result  estimated losses to the tune of rupees 25,000 crores occured. Unfortunately, till date no compensation has been made to any sufferer in Jammu. On the other hand in Kashmir, government comes with one package after other. The UPA announced rupees 100 crores package for valley recently. Not only this, it also announced rupees five lakh each even for those who indulge in anti-national activities but the nationalist people of Jammu and always ignored.

Manhas said the time has come when the people of Jammu should get united to send a clear message to the Kashmir-centric governments that "enough is enough" and the "patience of the Jammuites should not be tested". He appealed the people from all walks of life and irrespective of their affiliations and faith, to make Jammu bandh  successful.
