J&K BJP to observe Jammu bandh on Saturday

Jammu, November 24 (Scoop News) –J&K BJP has decided to observe complete bandh and observe chakka jam for three hours on November 27 against the policies of state government. The BJP appeal the transporters, businessmen, shopkeepers and educational institutions to fully cooperate and make the bandh successful 

State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing a press conference in Jammu warned the state government especially State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah either to withdraw anti-Jammu and anti-India policies or should leave the chair. Recent stand about creating dispute of Accession by saying that it was not merger with India and further the policy of rehabilitation of terrorists presently residing in  Pakistan and PoK is condemnable. He said delay in holding delimitation and step-motherly to the sufferers are 2008 land row agitation are yet other instances of discrimination with Jammu.  He said the transporters, businessmen shopkeepers, persons assciated with travel and tourism industry suffered a lot during 2008 but not even a single penny has been given to them as compensation, which is very unforutnate.  

He said that government has not taken any step to rehabilitate migrants, refugees inspite of the fact that their basic human rights are ignored and violated by the state authorities. Kashmir centric approach is responsible for rehabilitation policy of secessionists and separatists and even Congress has joined NC. BJP has decided to boycott all functions  which are chaired or attended by chief minister of the state and  Congress ministers from Jammu.

Manhas appealed  to public to stand united against the discriminatory and anti-Jammu and Ladakh policies. He said BJP will start massive agitation to get rid from such chief minister and Jammu based local leaders who are instrumental to anti-Jammu policies.  Manhas further declare that it is high time to assert against evil designs especially meant to harm transporters, traders, unemployed youth  especially discrimination done on the basis of regional approach. BJP is committed that to get equal treatment and will not tolerate any discriminatory and anti-national policy of the state government. The role of central government was also condemned who has endorsed the stand of Omar Abdullah over such irresponsible policies for petty vote bank.

 State General Secretary Sat Sharma (C.A.) and State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora was also present in the press conference.
