Srinagar, September 30 (Scoop News) – Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, R.S Chib and Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarik Gul received a group of 28 enthusiastic boys at Youth Hostel here today, who returned from 12 days Watan Ki Sair.
The group jointly sponsored by Youth Services and Sports and 29-Rashtriya Rifles under O P Sadbhavana X111 2010-11, visited various historical monuments and met eminent personalities of Mumbai and
Commander, 10 sector Rashtriya Rifles, Brigadier M.S Jaswal, Director General, Sports, Leherwal, Deputy Commissioner,
Addressing the function, the Minister Chib lauded the role of 29-Rashtriya Rifles for organizing Watan Ki Sair programme for valley youth under Sadbhavana. He said that such events give the youth an opportunity to visit the places of historical importance, thereby gaining enough knowledge about the history, culture and languages of different states of the country.
He said that the young and budding students get an opportunity to interact with various sections of society thereby making them broadminded and secular.

Stressing for creating an atmosphere of communal harmony among all the sections of the society, the Minister said that it is Sadhbhavana movement which only can bring the people-security forces for the welfare of country.
Chib asked 29-RR authorities to organize such events for the children of urban areas also so that they too get exposed to outside world and would gain knowledge about history and culture of other states of the county. Chib assured of full cooperation from his department in this behalf.
Advisor to Chief Minister Mubarik Gul while addressing the function appreciated the sports department and 29-RR for organizing this event and acquainting the students about the culture outside the state.
He said that the students get a chance to meet people of other religions, castes and colour and learn about the culture and way of life they live in different climatic conditions.
Defining Sadhbhavna, Gul said that such programmes are aimed at winning the hearts of people and also the confidence. He said these children play the role of an ambassador and carry message of peace and love to and from their states.
Stressing for building bridges and breaking walls, Gul said that we have to organize such events which dilute hatred and create an atmosphere of love, amity and fraternity among people.
He appealed for strengthening the bonds of mutual understanding and unity so that the State becomes self-reliant and prosperous and people live peaceful and safe life by sharing each other’s joys and sorrows.
