New Delhi/ Jammu, October 23 (Scoop News) – Children from the down trodden Sections of Society and remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir had an opportunity to meet the President of India, Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President Pratibha Devi Patil still finds time to shower love on children, especially from the remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
Recently children from the remote and insurgency affected areas of Surankote visited Rashtrapati Bhawan as part of an educational tour organised by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) under operation Sadbhavna and the moment she was told about it the President made immediate changes in her immediate program to take time off for interaction with these children.
It was moment of their life time for children from such remote areas to personally meet the President of India and enjoy her hospitality. During her interaction the President personally met each and every child, addressed the group and then had a cup of tea with them. The children were awed by her love and affection and will never forget such a lovely experience.
The President exhorted the children to imbibe virtues of peace and good education and given up as responsible citizen so that they improve the economic as well social conditions of the areas they belong to. The children will now be proceeding to Ajmer where they will pay obeisance at Dargah Sharief and spread the message of peace & communal harmony.
