J&K CM appeales for donation to CM’s Relief Fund from all Ministers & Govt. employees

 

 

Srinagar,August 26- August 26 (Scoop News) – To augment resources for relief, rehabilitation and restoration works at Leh and Kargil region and other flood hit areas of the State, where colossal human loss and devastation due to cloud burst have taken place, the Chief Minister,  Omar Abdullah has appealed for donation to Chief Ministers Relief Fund from all Council of Ministers and Government employees.

            The Council of Ministers would donate one month’s or one week salary and Government employees one day’s salary towards Chief Ministers relief fund

            Accordingly, all Drawing and Disbursing Officers are enjoined upon to deduct one day’s salary of all government employees at source from salaries for the month of August, 2010

            The amount deducted from the employees shall be credited to Account Number CD-16 maintained in the Jammu & Kashmir Bank Branch Moving Secretariat.

            All the Treasury Officers have been asked not to allow drawal of salary bills for the month of August, 2010 in respect of any DDO unless a certificate regarding deduction of one days salary of each employee billed for towards the Chief Ministers Relief Fund is recorded by the respective DDOs on the salary bills/cheques presented at the treasuries.

            In case any employee does not opt for such contribution or objects to such deductions, the amount so deducted shall be got refunded from the fund.
