JK CM asks Cabinet Sub-Committee to visit Valley for assessment, fast-tracking relief to flood victims
Dy CM to lead CSC; to interact with affected population
JAMMU, MARCH 07 – Jammu, March 07, (Scoop News)-
In order to fast-track assessment of immediate and long-term needs of the people affected by the September floods, the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today asked the newly-constituted Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) to visit Kashmir Valley for making a collective assessment to fast-track relief measures. The Sub-Committee shall be led by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh, who holds the charge of Power and Housing & Urban Development Departments.
The Chief Minister issued these directions Saturday so that the Cabinet Sub-Committee is able to make a firsthand appraisal of the damages caused by meeting the people ravaged by floods in Central, North and South Kashmir.
