JK CM condemns killing of army personnel in Kashmir

Describes it an act of cowardice

Srinagar, June 24(Scoop News)-JK Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned the killing of army men in Srinagar describing it an act of barbarism and cowardice.

In a message to the army forces and to the bereaved families, the Chief Minister has expressed his solidarity with them and conveyed his heartfelt condolence over the loss of precious human lives and brave soldiers in the terrorist act. He has also conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

According to Police that Terroristes attack Army vehicles in Srinagar today.

Police said that at around 1630 hrs, Army vehicles were plying on Bypass, Srinagar. Near Classic Hospital, two terrorists ambushed the vehicles and resorted to firing. They also hurled grenade inside a vehicle. In the incident few causalities have been reported where as few Army Jawans were also injured. All the injured have been shifted to the Hospital.

The terrorists when retaliated fled from the spot on a Motorcycle towards Barzalla. They were intercepted at Barzalla and a brief exchange of fire took place in which one CRPF Jawan and one police personnel was injured. Terrorists again managed to flee from the spot leaving behind the Motorcycle. The Motorcycle has been seized. The area has been cordoned off and the search for the terrorists is going on.
