Jammu, April 13 (Scoop News) – Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Thursday said that the victory of all coalition candidates in Legislative Council elections vindicates the cohesion and unity between National Conference and Congress.
“Both the parties are on same page and complement each other in translating the pledge of Khushaal Jammu and Kashmir in reality”, he said and asserted that the coalition would get further strengthened with the passage of time.
The Chief Minister was speaking at an informal meeting of National Conference and Congress stalwarts and winning candidates of the coalition partners in the Government here soon after announcement of the results.
Pradesh Congress President, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz, Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Central Congress Observer, Abdul Manan Ansari, various Ministers, Advisors to the Chief Minister, Parliament Members, legislators and others were present in the meeting.
Omar Abdullah congratulated the leaders of both National Conference and Congress for working in unison and ensuring smooth victory of coalition candidates in the Legislative Council elections. “I am confident that coalition would also exhibit same spirit and determination in jointly facing the challenges ahead and overcoming the problems in a befitting manner”, he added.
The Chief Minister congratulated the winning candidates and the rank and file of both Congress and National Conference for the victory in the Legislative Council elections. “I on my and on behalf of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, s. Sonia Gandhi and Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz extend sincere congratulations to you, legislators and the activists of the parties for exhibiting best example of unity and coordination”, he told the winning candidates and the top brass of the two parties present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz said that the victory of coalition candidates is a shining example of the unity and harmony between the National Conference and Congress. He said the coalition would get further strengthened and work together for the all round development of
Prof. Soz congratulated the Chief Minister for the victory and also to the leaders of both the parties, adding that the rank and file of both the parties would exhibit same spirit in future to make the coalition more strong and effective.
