Jammu, December 18 (Scoop News) –JK Chief Minister Omar Abdullah ahs expressed grief over the loss of lives in the snow avalanche accident at Siachen.
In his condolence message, Chief Minister highlighted the bravery of Indian Army and said that their service of highest degree to the nation is laudable.
He conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
It may be mentioned here that on Sunday in a tragic incident, seven army soldiers were martyred of the Army’s 1 ASSAM Regiment when they were buried under an avalanche in Sub Sector Hanif, Turtuk area of the Siachen Glacier in Jammu and Kashmir.
It was said that on Sunday at 6.15 A.M. army posts at a height of over 17000 feet came under an avalanche in Sub Sector Hanif, in Turtuk area of Siachen.
N. N. Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, had already expressed grief over the tragic loss of lives of six valiant soldiers in a snow avalanche in the Siachen .
