Jammu, December 12 (Scoop News) – J&K Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has condemned the attack on the security of Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar on Sunday evening.
Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the loss of life of a security person and injury to others. He said that there are no takers of violence and bloodshed. “These are the activities condemned by one and all”, he added.

Meanwhile Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, took a high-level security meeting here today to discuss and review the overall law and order situation in the State.
Principal Secretary, Home, B. R. Sharma, Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda, ADG Security, Ram Lubaya, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Samoon, IG Kashmir, S. M. Sahai, IG CID, Dr. B. Srinivas, IG CRPF, Ravi Prakash Maharda, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mehraj Kakroo, SSP Srinagar, Ashiq Bukhari, SSP Security, Kashmir, Rafiq-ul-Hassan besides several other senior police officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Minister was briefed about the overall security scenario in the State. He asked the civil and police administration to maintain high vigil so that peace and tranquility is maintained in the region.
Earlier, Nasir Aslam laid floral wreaths at District Police Lines over the mortal remains of the deceased PSO, Gulzar Ahmad, who died in yesterday’s attack on the cavalcade of Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Institutions, Justice, Law & Parliamentary affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar. A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The wreaths were also laid by Minister for RDD, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for Medical & Technical Education, R. S. Chib, Minister for Social Welfare, Ms. Sakina Itoo, Minister of State for Haj & Auqaf, Aijaz Ahmad Khan, DGP, Kuldeep Khoda and other senior police and civil officers.
