While addressing a Group of Ministers here today,Omar said that anti social elements who indulge in the damage of public property will be dealt with firmly, adding that nobody would be allowed to vitiate atmosphere in any part of the State.
The Chief Minister said that all necessary measures will be taken to safeguard life and property of its citizens. He said under no circumstances the common man will be allowed to suffer because he and his government is committed to the welfare of the common man and shall not allow anyone to disturb his normal life.
The Chief Minister constituted three ministerial teams one each for Baramulla, Anantnag and Pulwama districts. These teams will remain stationed in the district headquarters and work for speedy restoration of peace and normalcy. They will also monitor the day to day situation personally and initiate measures for return of tranquilly in these areas.
The Ministers will also interface with the public and reach out to the civil society to bring order and peace. It was also decided in the meeting that while the security forces have been advised to exercise maximum restraint but those who take law into their hands should be dealt with sternly.
The Baramulla team will comprise Minister for PHE and Irrigation, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir and Minister of State for R&B, Javid Ahmed Dar. For Anantnag district the team comprise Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Minister for Social Welfare, Ms Sakina Itoo and Minister for Animal Husbandary, Aga Sayed Ruhullah. Similarly, the Pulwama team will comprise Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar and Minister of State for Tourism, Nasir Aslam Wani.
