Jammu,April 16 (Scoop News) – Responding to the concern of a surrendered militant and his family which had come to plead its case before the government, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today got them from Civil Secretariat in an official vehicle to his residence where they were given a patient hearing to redress their grievances.
As soon as the Chief Minister was leaving the Secretariat in the evening, the surrendered militant along with his wife and a child tried to stop the motorcade of Omar Abdullah. On seeing them, the Chief Minister directed the accompanying officials to bring them to his official residence for hearing their grievances.
They were given a patient hearing on the issues raised by them.
The surrendered militant, who had received training in Pak, had laid down his arms in 1990 at Darhal in Rajouri District. He is presently living in Jammu with his family.
