A large number of the people attended the function, which was organized by the Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R.S. Chib.
The Deputy Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, S. Arvinder Singh Micky, Minister for PHE, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla, Congress MP, Legislator and senior leaders addressed the function.

R. S. Chib while welcoming the congress leaders for their participation in the function and also paid rich tributes to late Prime Minister and highlighted her contribution in eradication of poverty and illiteracy in the country and expressed his gratitude for their participation in the function.
Raman Bhalla on this occasion, impressed upon congress workers to remain united and vigilant about nefarious designs of antinational elements.
Describing late Indiraji as architect of modern
Dy CM Tara Chand said that the long pending demand of the people of Khour block to construct a bridge in the area stands fulfilled and the foundation stone was laid on 92th birth day of late Indira Gandhi who had sacrificed her life for the nation. He said that Smt. Indira Gandhi always worked for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society and secular character of the party for which the late leader was hailed globally. He said that the dream of late Smt. Indira Gandhi to develop the State and make it prosperous will be fulfilled and so that State competes on socio-economic front with other states of the country.
Paying rich tributes to late Smt Indira Gandhi on her 92rd birth anniversary being celebrated today, Minister Saroori said that she sacrificed her life for nation. He said that Indira ji always worked for strengthening secular character of the party for which she was hailed globally. Addressing on the occasion, the Minister of State for Co-operatives, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma reiterated the commitment of the coalition government to provide basic amenities including road connectivity, drinking water, electricity etc. in all the regions of the State. He said that the Central Government under the dynamic leadership of UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is making liberal funding to develop the State.
Dr. Sharma said that the Government is aware of the problems confronting the people and will solve these in a phased manner. He sought people’s cooperation for the coalition Government in implementing the developmental and welfare programmes launched to benefit the people at grass root level.
MLC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil and former Minister Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak were also present. They also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the policies and programmes of the coalition Government. They paid rich tributes to the late leader and said that she wanted the state to be prosperous in every sphere.
