Jammu, September 26 (Scoop News)- Severely condemning the killings of about 80 minority Christians and injuring over 120 others in bomb blasts at all Saints Church in Peshawar, Pakistan on September 22, Jammu & Kashmir Christian Dalit Society District Reasi and Udhampur has assailed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for not lodging protest with Pak premier Nawaz Shariff over the same, in their meeting in New York today. The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who had one to one meeting with Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Shariff, on the sidelines of United Nations meeting in New York, did not utter even a single word with his Pak counterpart Nawaz Shariff or even with US President Barrac Obama about this carnage in Pakistan. This silence of Indian Prime Minister over persecution of Christian minority in Pakistan has deeply hurt the Christians in India and all over the world and shows the insensitiveness of Indian Prime Minister over the concern among Christians in India and in the world as a whole.
A meeting of the Reasi and Udhampur district unit of the, Jammu & Kashmir Christian Dalit Society held today under the chairmanship of its District President Beli Ram, expressed anguish over the same. The meeting observed that the Christians, wherever they are living, are loyal to their countries, conducting as good citizens and patriots of that country, yet they are feeling insecure and unprotected in many countries where they are in minority. The Christians in India had every hope that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would lodge strong protest with Pak premier Nawaz Shariff over the carnage during their meeting in New York. But they are outraged and disappointed over PMs Silence on this count. The government of India too has not lodged any protest with Pakistan on the count, rued the Dalit Christian Society, Reasi/ Udhampur district unit.
Besides the District President Beli Ram others who were present in the meeting included Willam Paul Vice President, Rajender Khonja Secy. Reasi/ Udhampur, Makhan Lal, Kewal Masih, Des Raj Masih, Simran Paul and Bittu Masih.
