New Delhi/Jammu, December 2 (Scoop News) -The Governor, N. N. Vohra, presided over the 16th Meeting of the Executive Council of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, which met at Delhi to discuss academic, administrative and financial matters, including proposals for further infrastructure development in the University.
Expressing satisfaction over the various academic initiatives taken by the University, the Governor, who is also the Chancellor of the University, stressed the need for recruitment of the most qualified and experienced faculty in a time-bound manner to meet the University’s present and emerging academic requirements. He also urged the Vice Chancellor to take time bound steps to secure the required infrastructure for achieving the all round development of the University.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. R.N.K. Bamezai, informed that the profile of admission seekers to the various Technical Courses had witnessed sharp improvement this year, in terms of All India AIEEE ranking of the students. The Governor complemented the Vice Chancellor and the concerned faculty on the assignment of several research projects to the University by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
