Ganderbal/Srinagar, June 09 (Scoop News) – The Governor, N. N. Vohra, visited Mata Khir Bhawani Shrine at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district today, on the occasion of Khir Bhawani Mela.
The Governor and the First Lady, Mrs. Usha Vohra, paid obeisance at the Sanctum Sanctorum and prayed for peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the State.

Earlier, on arrival at Khir Bhawani, the Governor and the Lady Governor were received by Showkat Mir, Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Imtiaz Ahmad, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ganderbal, and various other District level officers.
The Principal Secretary to the Governor, R. K. Goyal was present on the occasion.
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today visited Tulmulla Ganderbal and paid obeisance at the Shrine of Mata Kheerbhawani.

Later, the minister had a joint meeting of representatives of Kashmiri Migrants and local administration and discussed at length the arrangements made by the government for smooth conduct of the mela. He expressed his satisfaction over the greater participation of Kashmiri Pandits in the mela.
The Minister also inspected various stalls laid by different government departments to facilitate the devotees.
Earlier, the Minister met various deputations which include two deputations of those employees who have been appointed under Prime Minister’s Package and posted at Tulmulla-Ganderbal and Vasoo-Qazigund.
The Minister heard them patiently and directed concerned authorities to address their problems on priority basis.
