9 killed including 4 minors & 20 injured in accident
Jammu, March 8 (Scoop News) -Minister for Transport and CA&PD, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan informed the House that one Bus no.JK11-6437 rolled down at Manor Gala while coming from Kandi to Rajouri today in the afternoon.
He informed the House that 9 persons killed including 4 minors and 20 people injured when a bus in which they were travelling rolled down into a deep gorge in Rajouri district of Jammu.
He also informed the House DIG Traffic, SP Rajouri and ARTO Rajouri reached immediately at the accident spot and is supervising the rescue operation.
The Minister assured the House that directions have been issued to concerned health authorities for providing all possible medicare facilities to injure one’s for their early.
He said that traffic authorities have been directed to intensify their services for making close vigil on overloading and rash driving.
Meanwhile JK Governor,CM and Speaker express grief over Rajouri road accident
N. N. Vohra, Governor, has expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in a major road accident in Rajouri district today.
In his message, the Governor has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of all those injured in this tragic accident.
Expressing his serious concern over recurring accidents, the Governor reiterated the need of the most urgent steps being taken for avoiding road accidents which result in a very large number of fatalities every year, besides thousands being injured.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has expressed deep grief over the loss of precious human lives in a tragic road accident in Rajouri district.
In his condolence message to the bereaved families, the Chief Minister has conveyed his solidarity and sympathy to them and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also prayed for early recovery of injured.
The Chief Minister also deputed team of Ministers comprising Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan and Shabir Ahmad Khan to the spot to oversee the rescue and treatment measures. They announced Rs. one lakh each to the deceased and Rs. 10,000 each to the injured from Chief Minister’s Fund.
They also directed the concerned authorities for ensuring all possible treatment to the injured. They conveyed their condolence and sympathy to the bereaved families.
Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul has expressed grief over the road accident in Rajouri in which some persons were killed and several injured.
In his condolence message, the Speaker expressed heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved families. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
The Speaker directed the government for providing immediate relief to the next of kin of deceased families. Besides, instructed for insuring all possible medicare facilities to the injured persons.
Earlier, Legislator Ch. Zulfikar Ali raised the issue in the House and demanded immediate relief to the deceased families besides necessary treatment to the injured persons.
