She was speaking on the inauguration function of 10-days expo at Jawahar Kalakendra, in Jaipur Rajasthan today. The expo has been organized by the J&K State Women’s Development Corporation, under the aegis of National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) and is aimed at providing marketing facilities to the women entrepreneurs of the State both in term loan and micro credit.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that arranging such exhibitions at national level would go a long way in boosting the business of the participant entrepreneurs besides giving them an opportunity to understand market trends. She said the present era is the age of competition and impressed upon the participants to improve designs for enhanced marketability.
The Minister said that the purpose of providing loan to the women entrepreneurs was to make them self reliant and economically independent. She reiterated the commitment of the Government to extend all possible help to ladies to make them equal partners in economic growth of the State.
Managing Director Dr. Naheed Soz apprised the Minister that buyer- seller meet was also organized as a part of exhibition where the beneficiaries have received orders from buyers across the country. She asked the participants to learn new market trends and reorient their business accordingly.

Tahir Parvez, District Manager during the inaugural function introduced each participant to the Minister and other dignitaries during the inspection.
Later, the Minister went round the stalls and observed the items placed on the sale. Kashmiri shawls, Sozni, crewel, chain stitch, paper machie, jute, leather fur, artificial flowers, dry fruits were the main items placed on the stalls.
