The meeting was told that Rs. 125 crore rehabilitation package was sanctioned under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for reconstruction of houses, restoration of power and drinking water supply and ex-gratia relief to NOKs of the deceased.
The meeting was told that about 80% of restoration work in drinking water supply has been ensured and power distribution system has also been successfully restored.
The Deputy Commissioners of Leh and Kargil were directed to forward the details of works duly prioritized in consultation with the LAHDCs of Leh and Kargil in respect of unutilized amounts to be submitted to the PMO for approval.

The Chief Secretary asked the Principal Secretary Planning and Development and Ladakh Affairs Department to accordingly prioritize the works to be taken up in consultation with the LAHDCs of Leh and Kargil for being sent to the Government of India.
