Jora today chaired a high level meeting to discuss the modalities for creation of requisite infrastructure at 18 hole Golf Course coming up at Sidhra Jammu. Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, Nasir Aslam Wani was present at the meeting. Commissioner /Secretary Tourism, Atal Duloo, Director Tourism Jammu, R. K. Verma, Joint Development Commissioner works Hamal, Financial Advisor Tourism Department, Executive Engineer tourism department Jammu and other senior officers attended the meeting.
The Minister Jora directed for expediting the process of tendering by giving these vast publicity. He strongly underscored the need for completion of the works in all respects to ensure early tee off of the9 hole Golf Course, the first phase of the project.
The Minister directed authorities to plant ornamental and other plants along the landscape to add to its aesthetic look. He also directed for regular irrigation and upkeep of the greenery and plants as per the directions of the experts.
Threadbare discussion was held on the issues regarding creation of facilities at the Golf Course as per the universal standards.
The meeting decided that a detailed project report would be formulated for the construction of necessary infrastructure.
The meeting unanimously decided that a Club building, Administrative block and other relevant infrastructure would be constructed at the site for the convenience of the sportsmen and management of the Golf Course.
