JK Minister advise KP community to avail benefits of Health scheme

Jammu, December 08 (Scoop News) –Minister of State for Home and Revenue,  Nasir Aslam Wani today urged the Kashmir Pandit community to avail benefits of Health Insurance scheme, which will pave way for them to avail the best medical facilities available in the country. “By contributing a small matching contribution, you can get cashless and hassle-free medical facilities that can provide succour in the long run,” the Minister stated.

Nasir Aslam Wani was distributing  medical relief cheques among 33 Kashmiri Pandit families, in Jammu today. A total of Rs 8.30 lakhs was given as relief out of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

MLC. Vijaya Bakaya was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized that rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit community is top priority of the Government. “Chief Minister  Omar Abdullah is committed to ameliorating the sufferings of our Kashmiri brethren. Jagti township at Nagrota is one small step towards rehabilitation of Kashmiri families. Under PM’s Relief Package, over 2,000 KP youth are performing their duties in various districts of Kashmir Valley,” the Minister said.

In his address,  Bakaya thanked the Government for providing relief to the Kashmiri Pandit community. “The Chief Minister has gone whole hog to address the basic issue of rehabilitation of KPs and their return to Kashmir,” he said, adding the Government is committed to improve the basic living condition of KPs across the State. He also advocated cooperative housing schemes for KPs in Kashmir valley.
