Srinagar, September 3 (Scoop News) — Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar has asked the students to incalculate the scientific temper and prepare for competitions at national and international level.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the two days district level Science Exhibition Inspire Award Schemes 2012-13 organized by the District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET). Around 400 scientific models made by the students of different schools of the district were showcased.
Secretary Education, Farooq Ahmed Faktoo, Director School Education, Mohammad Shafi Rather and other senior officers of education department were present.
The Minister urged upon the students to devote their time to education besides taking up extra circular activities which would result in making them perfect citizens for the future. "Students are the future of every nation and it is endeavour of the government to provide every possible facility to them so that their skills get polished and they can compete at various levels and bring laurels to their state", he maintained.
Sagar also complemented the organizers for conducting such types of events as they would go a long way in providing the much required platform to the young scientific minds to showcase their talent besides competing at the national and international level.
