New Delhi,October 15(Scoop News) – Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD), Transport Qamar Ali Akhoon called on Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Jaipaul Reddy and appraised him about the problems that had arisen in the State after announcing cap on subsidized LPG gas being provided by various Oil Companies to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Akhoon informed Reddy that capping on LPG shall add miseries to the people of the state.

Akhoon strongly pleaded reviewing the policy and reconsidering the procedure adopted by various Oil Companies in respect of
Akhoon also pleaded for easing the procedure for obtaining fresh LPG connection, establishment of more distribution centre’s and providing of sufficient quantity of LPG in the State in view of ensuing winter season.
The Minister requested Reddy that the Oil Companies be directed to engage additional manpower at the outletsso that the rush of the consumers is dealt with accordingly without any inconvenience.
