Jammu, May 06 (Scoop News) – Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports . R. S. Chib today paid floral tributes to Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh on th 71st Foundation Day of SMGS Hospital, Jammu here today.
MLA, . Ashok Khajuria and Provincial President National Conference . Rattan Lal Gupta were also present on the occasion.
After paying floral tributes to Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh, the Minister inaugurated CT scan and colour Doppler Machine in SMGS Hospital costing Rs. 1.50 crore. He was informed that about 15-20 cases of CT Scan will be done per day with this latest CT Scan Machine. He congratulated the people of the state especially Jammu region for having such facility equipped with modern technology. He said that the SMGS hospital is providing best diagnostic and treatment facilities to the people and the blood bank of this hospital is one of the best blood banks of the Country.
The Minister also felicitated some doctors, para medical staff and other staff for their excellent services at a function held at Auditorium of the Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that our coalition government headed by Chief Minister . Omar Abdullah is keen to provide all health facilities to the people of the State at their doorsteps adding that
He lauded the doctors, para-medical and other staff for their excellence services in the year 2010 and asked them to work with zeal and dedication and put their 100% in providing all medical and health facilities to the people of the State. he said that we should work together for providing good health care system to the society.
Referring to Ashok Khajuria request for the cleanliness drive of River Tawi and renovation and Air Conditioning of Auditorium, SMGS Hospital, he said that a project has already been made for setting up Bio Medical Waste Plant in both Jammu and Srinagar besides assured MLA Ashok Khajuria for providing full financial assistance for the renovation and air-conditioning of the Auditorium.
Earlier, the Minister also dedicated ambulance to the SMGS Hospital.
Among others, Principal Medical College Dr. Rajinder Singh, Dr. Reva Gupta, Dr. Aneeze Choudhary, Dr. Romesh Gupta, Dr. Dara Singh, Dr. Madhu Gupta, Dr. Shama Parveen, Dr. Arshad, para-medical staff and students were also present on the occasion.
