Addressing a State Level Meet of retired police personnel here today at Police Auditorium, Gulshann Ground, Khoda said that several initiatives have been taken for the welfare of retired police personnel and many more are in pipe line so that they lead a happy and smooth life. He said that retired police personnel have served the department during their days of bloom and have remained active in the service of the nation. It is the responsibility of the whole Organization to address their genuine problems after their retirement, he added. He said that we have to work together for the welfare of retired personnel so that they do not feel themselves ignored at any level.

The meeting discussed thoroughly the agenda points and several issues raised by the retired personnel present in the meeting. The meeting assured the participants that the issues raised by them would be considered at Zones and PHQ level and other issues would be taken with the concerned authorities for appropriate action. The Additional Director General of Police, Armed/Law & Order, K. Rajendra Kumar informed the meeting that recruitment of different posts in various districts of the State has been made with utmost transparency. He clarified that any person having any doubt about the merit secured can approach the concerned Chairmen of Recruitment Committees at Range Level.
On the occasion, the former DGP (J&K), M. M. Khajuria, who was present in the meeting, highlighted the problems being faced by the retired personnel and said that these problems should be attended on priority at all levels. He appreciated the initiative taken by the DGP, Khoda for organizing the State Level Meet of retired police personnel.
