The Minister gave away five science awards comprising Rs. 10000 and a certificate of merit. The award winners are Dr. Amjad, Assistant Professor, Mohammad Ramzan Chesti, Assitant Professor, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Tantray, Dr. Fayaz Ahmad and Anjali Khuroo.
Addressing the galaxy of intellectuals, Aga Syed Rohulla said that department of Science and Technology has to perform in a coordinated manner keeping in view the challenges available in various fields. He said that such seminars prove more beneficial as it provides opportunity to know each other’s research oriented papers being presented in the seminar by the scientists in three days.

The Minister for Higher Education, A.G. Malik felicitated the young scientist awardees and advised them to work in their fields with added zeal, zest and dedication.
He said that our young scientists should also work for non-conventional energy sources and biogas technology. He assured the scientists that the government would provide all possible support to the young scientists for the purpose.
The Ministers also released a book based on science researches on the occasion.
