Srinagar, October 16 (Scoop News) – The Jammu and Kashmir State, Judicial Academy organized a workshop on “Importance of procedural Law in speedy disposal of civil cases with the special references to civil laws Amendment Act 2009 held at High Court Complex, Srinagar today. The aim of the workshop was how to achieve excellence in the Justice delivery of the state.
In his address Rtd. District and session Judge, G.A. Lone said that Civil Law Act 2009 Amendments will facilitate courts to dispose off civil cases judiciously. He said that judges must settle the cases by way of mediation, conciliation and through Lok Adalats in light of this Act. Lone said that meditation is an excellent tool to facilitate the amicable settlement of dispute with helps in crating harmony in the society.
He said that Judges may be proactive for disposing the cases promptly and live to the expectations of the people.
Speaking on the occasion the Director, Jammu and Kashmir State judicial Academy, Suresh Kumar Sharma said that judges must change their minds to keep pace with changing times so that there is speedy disposal of cases under the civil law amendment Act 2009.
Faculty Member of Judicial Academy, Javid presented vote of thanks and urged upon participants for implementation of civil Act in such a way that there is expeditious disposal of cases.
The work shop was also attended by Munisifs, Sub Judges, and Members of Law fraternity.
