Srinagar,December 01 (Scoop News) – At a magnificent function organized by Films Division of India in collaboration with Tourism department, Kashmir and Directorate of Information and Public Relation, the Minister for State for Tourism, Nasir Aslam Wani formally launched the film “Astha Ki Dehleez”, “Madin Sahib” produced by Nationally reputed film maker, s. Rama Pandey. The film highlights the high art and craft value of the architect in and around Madin Sahib.
On this occasion, Nasir Aslam wani said that our culture has 5000 years old history written by famous historian Kalhan Pandit. He said that government has already taken several measures for preserving century’s old culture including our historical Dargahs, Mosques, Temples, Gurdwaras and Gumpas. Besides, there are a number of projects taken in hand for repairs and renovation, restoration of archeological sites in Jammu and Kashmir.
Wani said that the government has already amended the 90 year old act for preserving our rich heritage and under this act 38 heritage sights have been covered so far.
The Minister further said that since the present government came to power, efforts have been made to preserve our thousand year old heritage for the present generation and generations to come. He further said that the repair and renovation work of the Hariparbat Fort has already been completed while the renovation work of Bahu Fort and Mubarak Mandi complex is going on while beautification of Chingus Sarai and Kothar Temple is under progress. He thanked the Government of India for providing funds liberally under heritage tourism. He further said that Rs. 50 crore proposal for Naagarnagar project has been sent the Government of India for sanction under which the area from Srinagar to Watlab would be beautiful.
Referring to the film on Madin Sahib, ‘Astha Ki Dehleez’, he said the monuments and remainants of this early medieval age speak volumes of distinct advancements in the field of architecture.
On this occasion, the Director Information, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah said that Sufi Saints of the Kashmir valley have preached love, equality, communal harmony and brotherhood among the people. He said the valley of Kashmir has all along been remained the seat of the religious knowledge and scholars and intellectuals have visited the valley to take spiritual knowledge since the era of Hazrat Bulbul Shah (RA).
Kuldeep Sinha in his speech shed light on the history of Kashmir and said earlier the valley was only filmed for its scenic beauty but now documentaries are being prepared on the knowledge, culture and language of the valley.
Earlier, the producer of the documentary film, s. Rama Pandey, welcomed the guests and thanked the state government, MLC Mohammad Yousuf Taing, Director Information, Khawaja Farooq Renzu Shah and Director Tourism for extending their wholehearted cooperation for completing this project.
