It was a click fast forward and suddenly I stumbled upon a website that caught my attention. “What’s this?” I mumbled and immediately I perused the preceding text that invites anyone to join and be rewarded dollars. Yes, in dollars, the money of Uncle Sam. At first, I am undecided or dilly-dallying because this is something new and I have no idea of what ground report is all about. But I proceeded and filled up the required information and there goes my application was approved without any kinks or too much fanfare from the ground report administrator.
And as I accessed my account and browsed the webpage, I was surprised to learn that this is the kind of internet reporting. People of different nationalities were constantly posting their views, ideas and other reports that matters to their individual perception of all events happening around the world. To think that these people are highly educated, I was somehow felt intimidated and concerned of what would be my contribution may look like. Do I have to just write about me or anything under the sun? Do these people read my piece and nixed later because of poor grammar?
Instead of thinking those horrible things, I composed my self and wrote my kind of piece that was later on published alongside ground reporters. Although, I have no formal education in journalism and related course for that matter, I am very much inclined to believe that I can do it and be a part of ground report family. And so here I am doing my best to share my distinct knowledge of reporting. To the ground report family, thank you for having me as one of your brother and friend.
