Jammu, March 29 (Scoop News)- Giving details of the latest situation in respect of water levels, the Deputy Chief Minister at 6 P.M informed the Legislative Assembly that as per the latest data relayed, water level at Sangam stands at 15 feet against the alarm level of 18 feet. At Ram Munshibagh the water level stands at 14.5 feet against alarm level of 16 feet, while as at Asham the water level has been recorded as 9 feet against alarm level of 30 feet.
He said Chief Minister has reviewed the situation and issued instructions to setup three joint control rooms for South, North and Central Kashmir. He said all agencies including SMC, UEED, Fire and Emergency service etc are on the job and have been told to remain extra alert.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister said that 76 pumps of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation have been pressed into service to drain out excess water on streets in the city.
