Jonathan Pollard Denies Assistance from Israel

Jonathan Pollard, a U.S. citizen, was accused of spying on the United States for Israel in 1985 and sentenced to life in prison. This week he filed a law suit against Israel to prove that he is not receiving aid from the mid-east nation as an Israeli spokesman has claimed.

Jonathan Pollard has been in jail since 1987 for his role in the spy scandal. He was a civilian U.S. Navy Analyst who provided Israel with confidential information.

Jonathan Pollard wants to distance himself from Israel and claims that they are financial supporting him and his wife Esther so that he might receive leniency and have his jail sentence reduced. Sources say that he has documentation to prove he has not received any money from Israel.
