Jammu, November 07 – Jammu, November 07 (Scoop News)- While participating in the World Tourism Travel Mart (WTM) in London, Minister for Tourism, J&K, Nawang Rigzin Jora inaugurated J&K Pavilion in the Mart in London today.
Jora is in UK as a part of Indian delegation headed by Union Minister for Tourism, Subodh Kant Sahay.
The function was attended by large of stake holders from India as well as abroad.
While addressing the gathering, Jora emphasized the visit of foreigners to Jammu and Kashmir particularly in view of prevailing peace, harmony in the state. He also appealed the Union Tourism Minister to take up the matter with the UK and other European counties to withdrawn the advisory issued to their respective natives to not to visit in J&K. He said that the need of the hour is to highlight the beauty and tranquility of the state known worldwide. He further stated that over the years the inflow of foreign tourists has increased manifolds in the state of Jammu and Kashmir particularly in the Ladakh region. He hoped that by withdrawing the negative advisory the number of foreign tourist would increase in the coming years that would give further impetus to the state economy.
The state delegation comprising of Commissioner/Secretary Tourism, Atal Dulloo, Managing Director, JKTDC, Satish Nehru also participated in the event.
