Journalists of Rawalpindi and Islamabad continued their protest against the PEMRA

RAWALPINDI: Journalists of Rawalpindi and Islamabad continued their protest against the PEMRA amended ordinance and the curbs on media.Hundreds of people including journalists and civil society persons attended the protest camp outside the Islamabad Press Club.
They chanted slogans for freedom of the press and demanded from the government to withdraw the PEMRA ordinance.
Addressing the journalists, President Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club Afzal Butt said that free media makes the government responsible before the people.
He said that free media is being pressurized to tell only the official truth.
