I feel compelled to write about the passing of Sean Taylor. My mom met Sean Taylor several years ago when he came to her school to take several of her students on a limousine ride because the students won a contest. Mom said he was very kind-hearted, respectful and down-to-earth.
The circumstances of Taylor’s death are horrible and tragic. According to Washington
Redskins Head Coach Joe Gibbs, Taylor was a committed Christian. Christians are not
immune from pain and hurt. However, we can take comfort in the fact that Jesus loves us
and will never leave us! Like many in the DC area and nationwide, I am very saddened by the passing of Sean Taylor. However, there is joy in the fact that as a Christian, I know Sean Taylor is now with the Lord. I will see him in Heaven one day! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
May the Lord’s peace comfort them during this difficult time.
