Jammu, December 14 (Scoop News) –Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) has condemned the brutal use of force against unemployed physiotherapists’, including the females by the J&K Police and State administration. JPPF has demanded immediate placement in government jobs of all these physiotherapists. While Government has chalked out policy for education in physiotherapy, it has not formulated any policy of employing the qualified and trained physiotherapists, it has said.
A meeting of the Jammu People Province forum held in Jammu today under the chairmanship of Thakur Pavitar Singh, Ex. session Judge and attended among others S/Sh.Sunil Sethi President Bar Association Jammu, Thakur Narayan Singh President Rajput Sabha, Inderjeet Khajuria, President Hotels and Lodges Association, Yash Pal Gupta President Federation of Commerce and Industry, S.Gajan Singh and M.L Sharma, Kuldeep Luthra of Shiv Sena (Bal Thakre), Sat Pal Kranti, Labour Union leader also extended its full support to the Congress Minister Sham Lal Sharma, who has identified himself with aspirations of Jammu People.
They expressed serious concern over inordinate delay in setting up the sanctioned Central University of Jammu. Expressing apprehension of a conspiracy to scuttle the establishment of Central University Jammu, the forum has said that while all other recently sanctioned Central Universities have become functional and even run courses for three to four turns and even the Central University Kashmir has completed one semester, coming into being of Jammu Central University is nowhere insight. The State Government has not even acquired the identified land for the purpose.
The forum has pledged whole hearted support to any leader who takes up the cause of Jammu people and has said that the entire Jammu will follow such a leader who made sacrifice for the cause. It cautioned the Congress of consequences if any action is taken against Sham Lal Sharma for the views expressed by him about separate Jammu State and union territory for Ladakh. A deputation of JPPF also met the minister to express its solidarity.
The forum has also flayed the State govt. for suppressing the voice of Jammu People expressed by section of media or on political platforms. JPPF has appealed the Jammuities to discourage such political leaders/Press and Electronic media who are engaged in opposing the interests of Jammu Province. It also appealed to all the Jammu Province political parties to unite crossing party lines to safeguard the interests of people of Jammu keeping in view the eye opener solidarity of Kashmiri leaders for Kashmir only.
The JPPF also expressed its concern on the delli dalling tactics of State and Central government to provide the status of state subjects to West Pakistan Refugees who are debarred to cast their votes and even state subjects certificates for employment in State Government service.
