Jumping Jack “Thomas Koshy”

Dude, I m 24 right now. This is the time to take risks; "I obviously cant do it post 40, right?, shrugs Thomas Koshy, currently working as the creative head for a website.

Ask him hwo many jobs he’s been though and you won’t get a short reply — the list is elaborate. Having started off at a call centre out of "Utter boredom during college", Thomas has had almost nine work avatars in the past two years : from being a copywriter in Dubai, an assistant director for a TV show to a script doctor for screenplays and even freelancing for newspapers. Needless to say, he hasn’t laster for more than 4 months at any of these assignments.

"Clogging of the system" and "Creative differences" are reasons why he claims to jump jobs. So is there a hazard in this passion? Thomas puts it this way : "True passion can only be pursued in an environment where your skills and thoughts get well".

While on loyalty, Thomas says he’s not the only serial jobswitcher around. "Today, you have a new breed of 20 – somethings who prefer to working for short-term, high- paying jobs, and then they go back- packing, doing stuff that they always wanted to do. Most of tem are those who work as creative consultants, free-lancers, etc. When they know their money is about to get exhausted, they start with a job search and so a new cycle begins," he explains.
