The chief leader of the Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) Jwala Singh [underground name, his real name being Nagendra Paswan ] has faced a serious life threat from his own colleagues, Rautahat-based source states. According to the source, a new central committee under the leadership of Ranavir Singh has been formed. At present, Jwala Singh is said to be hiding in India.
The Rautahat-based source says Jwalasingh has captured more than 60 % of the properties that their party had looted from government banks and citizens’ houses. Besides, he is said to have looted land of his own party colleague. The Terai people recognize him as a killer and a robbery boss.
Jwalasingh has been suspended by his party. His own party colleagues have accused him of recruiting professional robbers and destroying the political spirit of the Terai movement.
He had entered the Maoist Party previously with a purpose to learn about war tactics and weapons. After he learnt what he wanted, he went to India before quitting the Maoist Party. When he managed to stay safely in India, he and his another colleague Goit declared through newspapers that they quit the Maoist Party. Within 18 months of their joint quittal from the Maoist Party, Goit and Jwalasingh split again. Since then Jwalasingh had been leading his own group called JTMM (Jwalasingh), killing ordinary villagers and looting them.
The source says the Ranavir Singh group is also likely to be divided.
